iconOUR GYM

Extreme Cheer Company is new to Northeast Oklahoma.  Opening April 1, 2007.  The gym is dedicated to giving our youth an opportunity to find their personal strengths and develop and obtain goals.  Our coaching includes the physical, emotional and psychology aspects of the athletes.  They also learn to work as a team and learn how their performance contributes to the overall success of their team.  Our goal is to teach our squad members skills and experiences that will help them throughout their academic and professional careers.  Many of the same tools that allow an athlete to overcome the obstacles that prevent them from succeeding in sports, will also help them when dealing with issues and people in their careers and personal lives.

All-star cheerleading has evolved dramatically during the past 15 to 20 years.  What was once an activity found in schools which was used to boost the moral of other teams, has now become a sport that would test the abilities of the most trained athletes. The sport has become a combination of tumbling, stunting, jumps, dance and motion technique.  We now have regional, state, national and worldwide competitions.

Our experienced choreographers will create routines that will last 2 1/2 minutes and include all of the previously mentioned skills.  Practices involve improving the athletes skills, memorizing and perfecting the motions and technique.  It requires every person on the squad to complete the routine.  Therefore, being a part of an All-star team requires a signifant committment.  Every squad member must be at every practice or the routine cannot be run full out.

All-star cheerleading also requires a significant financial committment.  The monthly gym fees cover the tuition, choreography, entry fees and uniform costs.  However, they do not include travel expenses, hotel expenses, annual tryout fee, annual registration fee or team gifts.

iconCompetitive Cheerleading

Our Competitive Cheerleading program is, for the most part, a year long committment.  It is a tremendous sport that teaches our youth so many valuable tools that they can use throughout their life.  It is very challenging since the skills required are constantly becoming more difficult and evolving all of the time.  It is also a sport that is a great deal of fun to watch.  Most of our athletes will have their entire family and sometimes extended family at every competition.  We encourage our families to get involved and cheer loudly during the routines.

A couple of items to consider before you commit are, you will be committing to approximately 4 hours a week minimum for a full year.  The financial committment is also something that you need to consider before joining the sport.  Although it isn't as expensive as some sports, it does require a significant monthly and yearly financial committment.   This allows our families to budget for their expenses.  Our monthly program costs include the monthly tuition of $85 per month for our Tahlequah location and $95 per month for our tulsa location, Competition cost which vary depending on a specific team, a uniform fee, practice gear, and bow and make-up costs.  All-star athletes are given a discounted rate on additional tumbling classes of $20.

In addition to the monthly fees there are a few limited expenses.   There is an annual tryout fee of $35 per athlete.  There is also a $35 per athlete, per year, registration fee, which covers administrative expenses including your annual membership to our call system.  It is the best method we know of to keep you informed throughout the year and at competitions.  Each team will have one or two team parents that will be responsible for coordinating team gifts prior to each competition.  These team parents will be asking for a nominal amount of money, a few times throughout the year, to make or purchase these gifts.  The only other cost involved in the competitive cheerleading program will be your travel expenses.  Many of the competitions will be close enough to drive to in a day.   However, we may travel to a couple of competitions that will require one or two nights lodging.  In these cases we will try to book a block of rooms at a reduced rate.  It will be your responsibility to reserve a room within the block to recieve the discount.
